Mount Sinai is commonly referred to as Mountain Mosa. Moses probably spent 40 days and 40 nights on this 2286-meter high mountain before receiving the “Ten Commandments.”
You can choose to climb the mountain on foot or by camel. Only the last 700 steps you need to walk it by yourself. Along the way you will pass a number of shrines including the ‘Moses spring’ welling up in a small cave and the ‘St. Stephen’s Gate ‘. Enjoy a beautiful sunrise at the top and a spectacular view over a landscape with a religious significance. At the top of the mountain, according to tradition, God would turn to Moses from a fiery cloud, on that place is build a chapel.
When you are down at the mountain we bring you to a 4-star restaurant where breakfast takes place. After breakfast you will have a 1 hour guided tour at the St. Catharina monastery. Some time provided to look around by yourself at the Monastery, before we return back to Sharm el Sheikh.
